19 of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his first title for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging period, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-term coach his previous coach.
Now working with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's maiden trophy after the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt after that period of the previous year.
Success also signifies the Russian has won twenty-one championships at 21 different tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a tournament with my both daughters together, so to win a trophy is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his previous six championship matches, featuring in that event previously this season.
His defensive play style and recurring reactions on court had caused some to question if his capacity to perform at the top level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, supported by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, winning four of the concluding five games to go ahead.
Both players exchanged service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his first ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to force a third set.
The opponent saved four early-game opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the Russian secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner earned victory with a point at the net area, with Moutet incapable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
